Film & TV composer | Northern Ireland
My name is Deci. It's short for Declan. But I also go by the name LMINL. I'm from a small town called Castlederg in Co.Tyrone but currently based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where I’ve been a photographer and musician for over twenty years.
I specialise in writing and producing Indie/Alternative synth-based orchestral music for use in Film, Television and Advertising. Previous credits include advertising campaigns for BT, Harp Lager, Dale Farm, Cinemagic and NI Screen. My music has also featured on television shows such as Hollyoaks and Catfish, as well season trailers for Grey's Anatomy and the Mentalist, and has been used by BBC, Sky, MTV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and LFCtv... ITV obviously don't have any taste...
I've also produced and continue to produce bespoke music for independent documentary film makers, app developers and podcasters. Film credits include the Guard (2017), The boring diary of Frances Noone (2016) and Dinosaurs (2016).
My preferred music style fuses elements of indie/alternative and ambient music, fused with more traditional elements. My film tastes are wide ranging, but I have a particular love of Independent cinema, horror and sci-fi.
Between 2020 and 2022 I suffered catastrophic hearing loss (you can read about it here), yet I still continue to make music. In 2024, I released my debut album under the name LMINL.
